We’re looking for a design intern to assist our in our friendly London studio, as we deliver innovative wayfinding systems for the world’s leading cities, organisations, and institutions, across exterior, interior and campus environments.
You’ll be very much involved in the delivery of projects, working closely with our project teams to tackle various aspects of user research, wayfinding strategy, concept design, detailed design, and artworking phases of our wayfinding projects.
We are looking for highly motivated and passionate individuals, with a keen graphic eye and ambition to deliver projects of the highest quality.
You will have a portfolio that demonstrates strong typographic skills and your design process, in addition to the craft of your final designs. At Applied we like design thinkers who champion the meaningful as much as they do the beautiful.
You will be articulate, proactive, and not afraid to speak up and ask questions. You’ll ideally have an interest in some of the following:
- Information design
- Wayfinding, signage, cartography
- Design for transport systems
- Environmental graphic design
You’ll also be proficient and up-to-date with the latest software required for the role, i.e. Adobe Creative Suite and any other graphic software, as well as being competent with presentation, word processing and spreadsheet tools etc.
